Shrimp Chili Fry
Ingredients
250gm Shrimp/Kardi (de-veined)
1tbsp Red Chili powder
1tsp mustard seeds (optional)
3 Green Chilies slit
2 med Onions (sliced fine)
1tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
1large tomato chopped
1tbsp lime juice
1 cup chopped coriander
Oil for cooking
Salt to taste
Method
1. In a bowl , add 1tbsp red chili powder to the shrimp and a pinch of salt to the Shrimp. Keep aside for around 20 mins. Doing this will add a red colour to the shrimp.
2. In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil and add the mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds start to splutter, add the green chilies. Saute for a while
3. Add the onions and saute until onions turn translucent .
4. Now add the ginger-garlic paste and continue to cook for around 2-3mins so as to remove the raw taste of the paste.
5. Add the shrimp and continue to fry saute until tender
6. Next add the tomato to the pan and cook until tomato turn pulpy
7. Add lime juice and throw in the coriander
8. Continue to stir until the Chilly fry looses almost all the water (if any) that is in the pan.
9. Serve as a side of just gobble it down with pavs or chapattis.
