Ladyfinger Masala (Bhindi Masala)



For 2-3 servings

Ingredients
250 gm okra washed
4 tbsp oil
2 tomatoes finely chopped
4tbspoil
1tsp rai ( mustard seeds)
1/4tsp haldi (turmeric) 
1/4 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
1tbsp dhania powder (coriander)
1-1/2 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste

Method
1. Cut okra into small pieces approx 2cms (width)
2. Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan/wok. Add rai and jeera.

3. When they being to splutter, add the okra, salt and turmeric. Cook on low heat until the okra get a little soft
4. Remove from heat and keep aside
5. Pour the remaining oil into the same pan/wok and add the chili powder and coriander powder.
6. Add the tomatoes and fry until it gets pulpy.
7. Mix in the okra and cook for a couple of minutes until done

8. Optional- garnish with coriander leaves and 2 slit green chilies

9. Serve with bread or use as a side with your main course.
